If you're unfamiliar with the late great Eric Roche (who played an O10
extensively), here's a great place to start:
"I am delighted to tell you all that we launched Eric's live CD "Live
and Inspirational" at our guitar show, Acoustic Avalon, at the
weekend. The concert was one of 2 recorded at The Electric Theatre in
Guildford, but is not the recording used for the DVD. Eric plays a
different set.
I know that what we would all love to do is go to one of Eric's
concerts. Well, we may not be able to do that, but I think we now have
the next best thing. We have deliberately mixed this CD so that it is
best listened to quite loud on a good stereo, rather than compressing
it to make it suitable for the car. It's the nearest we can get to
seeing him live. For me this recording represents Eric at his
absolute best. Everything from the moment he arrives on stage to when
he leaves has been captured, including all his patter and jokes. (They
still make me laugh even though I heard them all many times!). As much
as I love the studio albums Eric was first and foremost a performer.
