A couple of years ago I was able to play a Gurian dread on the Brussels Guitar Fair. The price was low so it seemed for owning a guitarfrom an iconic lutjier: 1000 euro. But what kept me from bying it was the neck width: far too narrow for my hands (hence the preference for the Albert&Mueller S3). T...

Except for the slotted headstock, I see a lot of resemblance with my S3 from 1999. A beauty to behold, and even more so to play. Happy playing!

And just for the record:
I would never pay 7.000 euro for any guitar.
I couldn't.
Some can - and that's their choice to do so.

Interesting discussion.... player's worth vs. subjective worth... I want to present you a story. I met an Irish musician in october. He presented me his precious guitar, custom made for him by the best Belgian luthier ( yes, we have luthiers and the Puurs school here), he put up this guitar for sale...

I prefer the d'Addario exp 11 in the Albert & Muller S3, and the Elixirs on the Suzuki and Hashimoto (both Japanese from the '70ies era). The elixirs sounded too bright on the A&M, even more so combined with the ivory bridge pins. As for longetivity: the EXP's have a shorter lifespan than the Elixir...
