Recommendations for teachers on fingerstyle
Hello everybody,
I'm looking for a teacher to give me online lessons on fingerstyle. I need a teacher who is able to teach me the right technique. Feel free to send me your suggestions.
Sorry if this is not the best thread to post this request.
Regards from the sunny Lisbon,
Pedro

Re: Recommendations for teachers on fingerstyle
Hi Pedro, there are some great teachers for picking technique (so in general, "fingerstyle" is not clearly defined for me) out there: Ulli Bögershausen, Dave Goodman, Jacques Stotzem, Michael Fix, Adam Rafferty, Don Ross, Markus Segschneider, Peter Autschbach - just to name a few of the people i've been to workshops with, it's always been a great experience that got me ahead. Some of them are definitely giving online lessons. If you want to learn the technique right from the start and don't have any experience with it, it might be a good idea to work with a local teacher on a regular basis, for example once a week. At least for a period of time during which you memorize and apply certain basepicking patterns. This would have the advantage that you don't include typical mistakes in your technique.
