Letzte Woche schickte mir mein Freund Marco Baldi aus Arezzo (I) ein paar Bilder seines neuen Schätzchens, die ich euch nicht vorenthalten möchte:
http://www.celticsounds.de/illotta/
Diese Rio-Schönheit wurde von dem italienischen Gitarrenbauer Aldo Illotta gebaut. Marco schreibt folgendes über sein neues Instrument:
“The tonewoods are: italian spruce, brazilian rosewood, bubinga (binding), cuban mahogany and bubinga (neck), ebony (bridge), headstock front and rear veneer in braz. rosewood, nut and saddle in buffalo horn.
Slightly bigger frets than standard (VERY easy to play), the guitar's back
is built three-dimensional, it is rounded both vertically and horizontally,
with a compound longitudinal radius that leads gently to the thinner part of the guitar. I think this arched back has something to do with the beautiful sound. The guitar doesn't suffer from loss of tone playing down the fingerboard (I think brazilian has to do with it).
Strong, powerful and firm fundamental (it is the italian spruce), not so
much overtones (but it is great for many fingerstyle genres), powerful
attack, INCREDIBLE sustain and dynamic range.”
Schönen Abend noch,
