Manuel Bellido

Beitrag von Laser »

Hi,

I had the opportunity and luck to play some great flamenco guitars on Brussels Guitar Fair in november last year.

After comparison the one that pleased me most of all was a Manuel Bellido guitar. You find information here:

http://www.guitarreria.be/g_fr_manuel_bellido_3.html

Although a flamenco guitar, it shines and has all it takes to be a splendid concert guitar.

Jean-Marc has many more exquisite guitars in store; he's really passionate about the guitars and the luthiers that make them. His website ( www.guitarreria.be) offers a lot of good information, and an interesting archive of sold guitars. Certainly worth a look!!

I did not purchase that guitar - I didn't have the funds to do so - but if I had that Manuel Bellido would be the guitar of my choice.

Hi Laser,

a very similar guitar to Manuel Bellido is available by his son Jesus Bellido who works in the same workshop and uses woods of the same quality. Compared to Manuel he is not as experienced as his father but you save a few thousand € for an equivalently guitar. Just to give you a hint.

Thank you,
I haven't been able to try one of Jesus' guitars yet.

At the same occasion I also played this guitar from Stephan Schlemper. Now while I preferred the Manuel Bellido, this guitar was also very good. AND it has some very unique features as far as constreruction is concerned.
Whenever you have the occasion, it is worth further attention!!
